Judi Daykin – Actor, Director, Producer and General Dogsbody.

Judi trained as an actor at the Drama Studio, London and has subsequently worked extensively as both an actor and a theatre director.

Her credits include appearances in more than 80 theatre productions, from weekly summer repertory to touring. She has played goodies and baddies in Panto, leading roles in regional tours for Transaction Theatre Company, Broad Horizons and several other theatre companies, done voice over work for documentaries and radio, sung with a concert trio, worked with the Locrian Ensemble and performed extensively in one-woman shows. Film and TV credits including Peter Warlock, Some Little Joy;  In Love with Alma Cogan; She Stoops to Conquer; Kingdom and Evil Never Dies; radio and voice over documentaries.

For Broad Horizons, she has toured with many plays including Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, as well as Blow The Wind Southerly, a show she wrote for herself in which she played Kathleen Ferrier. Last year she played Edith in our tour of Edith Cavell – Facing The Silence.

Her directing credits include Talking Heads, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Double Falsehood, The Ghost Train, various farces and comedies, comedy cabaret, Sweeney Todd the Musical and Sunset Boulevard.

Judi is an experienced workshop leader, specialising in directing youth group productions, pro-am adult groups, improvisation and Shakespeare.
