Harriet Waterhouse

Harriet will be playing the Spinster, and is a relative latecomer to the acting world.

Having run a portfolio career for many years as designer, maker, writer and historian, her costume work can be seen in museums across Britain, on stage in Shakespeare’s Globe, and on the big screen in movies such as The Souvenir, which was filmed in various locations around Norfolk.

In recent years she has moved in front of the camera, with television credits including the BBCFour series A Stitch in Time; drama documentary Victoria and Albert: The Royal Wedding; and An American Aristocrat’s Guide to the Great Estates.

Finally breaking onto the stage as an actor her recent theatre roles include Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing; Eva in For Services Rendered; Wynne in Dinner; Lady Fidget in The Country Wife; Mrs Prentice in What The Butler Saw;  and Mother in The Railway Children.

A keen supporter of new writing she also participated in the 24 hour theatre experiment MAD24, with student writers from the UEA.
