Rhett Davies – Director, Set Designer and Tour Manager

Rhett has been working and designing for the professional stage since 1995. He is a freelance director, set designer, and stage manager in theatre, as well as a sound and lighting designer for live music gigs. Prior to this tour he was Technical Stage Manager at a regional theatre for over 15 years.

He has worked with Bridge Theatre Company on their summer rep seasons in North Norfolk, with Transactions Theatre Company, OHYesItIz Productions and Loose Cannon on their many tours. He was also joint owner of WD50 Theatre Company, which toured the country with I Ought to be in Pictures, ending with a short run at the Pentameters Theatre in Hampstead.

He has directed over 30 shows, for Broad Horizons and other companies, from pantomime, via Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, to Blow the Wind Southerly and Edith Cavell – Breaking The Silence. Rhett is also the lighting designer for the New Forest Folk Festival, and has over 50 theatre set designs to his credit.

The last time he looked, Rhett estimated that he had worked on well over 1700 shows or events.
